Entel’s HT640 wins another accolade

There’s just no stopping the Entel HT640, as this remarkable radio storms to victory in yet another independent group test of VHF marine transceivers. The June 2007 edition of Yachting Monthly found the HT640 pleasingly light to hold and surprisingly robust.
Noting its IP68 submersibility rating, which allows this radio to remain waterproof at depths far greater than all of its competitors (5 metres for 1 hour), the adjudicators also enthused about its large well-lit screen and sensible button layout.
Like other independent tests, the exceptional quality and design, coming in at a keen and competitive price, once again, impressed: “Performance and price make it a strong contender and there’s a huge range of optional extras for hands-free use” said YM’s Chris Beeson.
With this latest accolade, the HT640 is now well established as a serious marine radio with a sea-faring record - in both the leisure and commercial sectors - that is second to none. No wonder that Yachting Monthly’s appraisal concludes that it’s “Definitely one of the better performers” and awards it a “Best Buy” accolade - yet again.
