Entel launches Business Critical PoC radio service and products

Sure Connect is Entel’s new PoC (Push-To-Talk over Cellular) service and product range that delivers cost-effective wide area communications.

Sure Connect products and services comprise:

Sure Connect service runs on Secure and fully redundant locally (Tier 1 Data Centre) hosted Servers
DN400 ultra-compact radios complete with high performance 4G roaming SIM’s
Smartphone / Tablet (IOS & Android) app for non-radio users
PC Dispatcher app with messaging & mapping
Radio Gateway (for connection to LMR radio systems)

Leading the way is the DN400 radio; developed by Entel’s UK R&D team and manufactured in Entel’s own factory means quality and reliability is assured. DN400 is a genuine alternative to traditional LMR radio, using Cellular and Wi-Fi networks DN400 radios deliver anything from regional, national to cross border coverage.

“We wanted to give our dealers and their customers a simple and straightforward solution” said Steve Mulka, Entel’s Global Product Manager. “If you take A DN400 radio out of its box it just works, no complex configuration, SIM top-up or account management to worry about, just charge and go!”

If required, Entel’s PC Dispatcher app adds another layer of features and capability including location tracking and messaging. Using Entel’s radio gateway existing LMR systems can be connected to the Sure Connect network providing unified communications or a simple migration path. For users that don’t need the additional benefits of DN400 radios a Smartphone / Tablet app is also available.

Sure Connect is a reliable, efficient and a really effective way of deploying PTT communications over a wide area, it’s also perfect for city use, addressing the challenges that densely built up areas and licence congestion bring. Better still there’s cost benefits too! There are no licence fees to pay, no expensive infrastructure to install or any ongoing site, site-linking or maintenance costs to pay. Samples will be available during Q4 and stock for general sale will follow in January 2019.
