A Sweet Upgrade for Hotel Chocolat
“Upgrading to the DN495 was a game-changer for us. It checked all the boxes and came at a competitive price. The DN range significantly extended our operational coverage, ensuring our team stays connected even when off-site. Plus, the DN495 shares battery packs, chargers, and accessories with our DX radios, adding a layer of convenience for our users.”
James Clayton, Engineering Services Manager at Hotel Chocolat
Hotel Chocolat, a renowned British chocolate manufacturer, has upgraded to its third generation of Entel two-way radios, supplied by Integrated Radio Systems (IRS). Hotel Chocolat’s journey with Entel started with analogue radios in 2007, moved to analogue/digital radios in 2018, and they have now added DN495 PoC radios to provide next-level connectivity for their employees, even when they are working off-site.
The latest upgrade was driven by the significant expansion of Hotel Chocolat’s Huntington facility and the addition of new associates. This expansion presented new challenges in terms of radio coverage and system capacity.
To address these challenges, IRS integrated Entel DN495 radios and Gateways with Hotel Chocolat’s existing DX radio system. DN495 radios offer extensive European coverage, ensuring reliable communication across vast distances. They also support an unlimited number of radios and simultaneous calls, ensuring Hotel Chocolat’s communication needs are met both now and well into the future.
Entel Gateways seamlessly link the existing Entel radios with the new DN495 radios, providing smooth integration and eliminating the need for expensive infrastructure investments and associated maintenance costs.
Reliability is crucial for business-critical applications. To ensure an unparalleled level of infrastructure redundancy, DN495 radios uniquely provide access to all four UK cellular data networks and high redundancy multiple profiles. Unlike other PoC radios, Entel’s DN495 radios have no single point of failure in their network infrastructure.
To tackle the noise challenges at Hotel Chocolat’s manufacturing site, both DX and DN495 radios come equipped with advanced noise suppression, delivering industry-leading crystal-clear audio. They also support bone conductive audio accessories for enhanced clarity. The DN495 radios stand out with their superior intelligibility, making them the top choice for clear communication in even the noisiest environments.
Entel is proud to support Hotel Chocolat in addressing their communication needs as they continue to revolutionise British chocolate.
